I enjoy being single, but
I sometimes lie about this fact.
I do not want to be
The third wheel. Who does?
Don’t invite me out if
I will be the extra.
I do not want to see
Your PDAs.
I do not want your
Happy relationship thrown
In my face.
Over and over and
Over.
Do not tell me:
“You’ll find someone someday”
“He wasn’t worth it”
“You’re better than him”.
All I hear is:
“Blah, blah, blah, blah,
BLAH.”
You relationship-people easily
Forget what being single is about.
You’re in your glorious
Relationship-drugged world.
Oh, and don’t set me up with
“The Perfect Guy for You”. Ugh.
HE’S NOT PERFECT.
Back off and let my
Singledom be!
Let ME be.
Don’t make me lie about being
Single and Happy.
